Kitchen Professional (Cook/Chef)

We're looking for a creative, driven and ambitious kitchen professionals to put their touch on the food at Courabyra Wines.

Located just outside Tumbarumba NSW, Courabyra Wines operates as a cellar door and high quality restaurant Thursday to Monday also catering for functions.
The successful applicant would be able to greet guests with a friendly face when needed, manage a small kitchen team and construct menus with seasonal flare showcasing our locally sourced farm fresh produce

Some of the key responsibilities/accountabilities for this role are as follows:
• To undertake food preparation and ‘mise en place’ to high standard
• To assemble and cook food orders as they arrive to the kitchen within required timeframes
• To produce and properly plate all menu items according to specifications
• Manage food dockets ensuring all items are completed
• Maintain ingredient and food inventory and manage resupply
• Store and label all food correctly
• Cleaning dishes, utensils and cookware used by the kitchen as required
• Complete all end-of-shift duties and clean down as per checklists
• Always follow food health and safety standards and procedures
• Conduct yourself in a professional, knowledgeable, and responsible manner
• Support the kitchen and wait staff teams, responding to reasonable requests

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
• Ability to skillfully multitask

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
• Shows initiative and problem-solving abilities
• Passionate and dedicated team member
• Food handling certificate essential with demonstrated knowledge of safety procedures
• Recognised industry qualification in Commercial Cookery preferred or proven equivalent knowledge and skills gained through experience in commercial kitchen
• Barista certificate or skills gained through experience desired
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate desired
• Be able to work Weekends, Public Holidays and occasional nights
• Must be well presented and able to work efficiently under pressure.

 

Front of House Staff

We are seeking a professional, reliable and dedicated persons to undertake front of house sales and provide customers with a quality wine tourism experience at one of Australia’s top Cellar Door establishments, Courabyra Wines.
The successful applicants will become part of a passionate team and be able to convey our stories and share our wines with customers in a way that creates a genuine and warm wine experience.

You will be enthusiastic and an effective communicator who personifies our culture and values. You will need to provide the greatest possible customer service experience whilst selling our awarding winning wines and the promotion of the wine tourism for our region.
Business hours are Thursday to Monday also catering for evening and event functions.


Some of the key responsibilities/accountabilities for this role are as follows:
• Providing a high level of customer service
• Waiter/Waitress table service
• Manage delegated administration tasks and bookings
• Stock management
• Complying with Responsible Service of Alcohol laws
• Adhere to OHS requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Great organisation and people management skills
• Positive, friendly attitude with great communication skills
• Wine knowledge would be advantageous
• An effective team player, demonstrates initiative and is goal focused
• Qualifications in hospitality industry highly regarded
• Barista certificate or skills gained through experience desired
• Hold a current RSA
• Must be well presented and able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Be available to work Weekends, Public Holidays and occasional nights.
