Cathy has recently completed the Destination NSW Sustainability Skills Micro-Credentials Program
This is another step forward for Courabyra Wines to be in alignment with sustainable tourism practices which we strongly believe in. Sustainable tourism is 'the practice of taking full account of current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the community and the environment'
Courabyra Wines Vineyard is also completing the 'Sustainable Winegrowing Australia' program for grape growers and winemakers to continuously improve sustainability in the vineyard.
Some examples of the sustainability practices currently in place at Courabyra Wines is the installation of solar panels to reduce power consumption, recycling cardboard waste, using composting for food waste, removing the use of single-use plastic, using a water-saving drip irrigation system in the vineyard and using organic compost in the vineyard to protect predator insects.
